Unions Make Demands For Insurance Audit

Presently there are 3 city unions that are requesting that an independent audit of the Medical Insurance Trust Fund by carried out, saying that the city has failed to pay its fair share into the account and at the same time they are overcharging retirees and employees. Very few have heard of Robin Beaton. This is the problem with the debate over health care reform.

Beaton, who is retired nurse living in Waxahachie, Texas, thought she had health insurance. Every month she faithfully paid her premiums, but she was dumped by Blue Cross, her health insurance company, when she was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer.
